00TraceAxiom / who builds Verify

Agents write the pull requests. Someone has to check them.

TraceAxiom builds Verify, a GitHub Action that runs an AI-written pull request against the branch it targets, checks what it claims, and posts one verdict with its reasons.

01Identity

A public product should have a publicly accountable builder.

Arhan Canli founded TraceAxiom in 2026 and leads its engineering. He builds Verify and writes the public product experience. The identity record links his canonical public engineering profile.

TraceAxiom is an independent, pre-incorporation product project. The site, policies, contracts, and structured data will adopt the registered legal identity after formation is complete.

  • Named founder and operator
  • Canonical public engineering profile
  • Pre-incorporation status stated explicitly
  • No customer, certification, or company claim without evidence

02Thesis

Writing code got fast. Checking it did not.

Software is now made in factories: coding agents open pull requests in minutes, around the clock. Reviewing one properly still takes a person far longer, and the description the agent writes is a claim, not evidence. Review bots add another opinion about the same diff.

TraceAxiom's view is that the useful check is to run the change: test it against the branch it targets, check whether its tests would notice it being wrong, check what it claims mechanically, and say plainly what could not be checked. Verify is the first product built on that view.

03Principles

Rules the product keeps, even when they slow it down.

A verdict lists the checks it rests on. A check that did not run is reported as not run, never as passed. When Verify cannot build or test a repository, the verdict is “couldn't run”, not a guess. Illustrative examples are labelled, and no figure is published until it comes from real runs.

The website follows the same rule: its own release gate checks the build, browsers, accessibility, keyboard use and crawler visibility before release, and publishes the result.

  • Verdicts name their checks
  • Not run is never reported as passed
  • Examples are labelled as examples
  • No figures before real runs

04Audience

Built for teams whose pull requests come from coding agents.

Verify is for engineering teams that merge pull requests written by coding agents and cannot read every line with the care it needs. Node and TypeScript repositories come first.

05Stage

In development: built pieces, and pieces not built yet.

Verify posts its verdict as a comment on real pull requests in TraceAxiom's own repository, since 3 October 2026. It runs tests on base and head, plants control tests, runs the pull request's code as a separate user, checks three claims, and mutation-tests the changed lines. 444 automated tests pass on its main version.

Not built yet: signed receipts end to end, independent tests written by AI, and the install flow. No one outside TraceAxiom can install Verify today.
